This Installation and User Guide will lead you through the four-step process to get your Laptop Connect solution up and running. This Guide also provides assistance in how to configure Communication Manager software, use a VPN with Laptop Connect, and update your PC card modem firmware in addition to providing some troubleshooting tips.
Laptop Connect Overview
Laptop Connect is Cingular‘s laptop mobility solution that uses a compatible PC card modem, data-capable handset, or Wi-Fi-enabled laptop, along with Communication Manager software and the appropriate Data Connect rate plan to provide wireless data access through Cingular‘s Broadband Connect and EDGE networks.*
